Polyphosphoric Acids

Polyphosphoric Acid (PPA) is used in a wide array of industrial applications including pigment manufacturing, mining, oil, and gas industries. PPA is used in manufacturing phosphates, phosphate esters and the polyphosphorylation of polyols. It can also be used for the strengthening or fortification of weak phosphoric acid.

In addition to being a chemical catalyst, Innophos has patented liquid Polyphosphoric Acid (PPA) called INNOVALT® Asphalt Modifiers. These products are used for asphalt modification to improve the rutting, stripping and cracking performance of asphalt pavements. INNOVALT® is compatible with hydrogen sulfide (H2S) scavenger in asphalt applications.
